
Orient Cables (India) emerged as the standout performer among four mainboard IPOs debuting on BSE and NSE on Monday, October 5. According to reports from Goodreturns, the stock opened at ₹448.10 on BSE, representing a 64.74% premium from its IPO price band of ₹258-272 over the upper end. On NSE, the stock opened at ₹450, demonstrating strong market demand for the cable manufacturer's shares.
All four companies successfully raised approximately ₹1,775.90 crore through their IPO offerings. As reported by Goodreturns, Orient Cables raised ₹552 crore through a combination of fresh issue (₹320 crore) and offer for sale (₹232 crore) by promoter Nagpal family members. The IPO received exceptional investor response with total subscription of around 92 times, including QIBs at 182.76 times, NIIs at 115.63 times, and retail investors at 30.55 times subscription.
Four SME IPOs are also making their market debut today, collectively raising ₹146 crore through their offerings. According to The Economic Times, Bench Mark Infotech Services saw the highest demand, achieving over 100 times total subscription. The other SME IPOs include Himalayan Solar, Dudani Retail, and Sai Urja Indo Ventures, which will list on BSE and NSE SME platforms today.
According to Goodreturns, German Green Steel & Power raised ₹303.90 crore with a lot size of 107 shares and was subscribed 28.98 times overall. Runwal Enterprises raised ₹500 crore through fresh issue with 2.50 times overall subscription, while the retail portion was subscribed only 1.12 times. AceVector's ₹420 crore IPO received 4.93 times subscription overall, with NII portion at 8.16 times, retail at 4.62 times, and QIB portion at 3.38 times subscription.
