Electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss is exploring an initial public offering of approximately ₹1,000 crore, comprising both a fresh issue and an offer for sale, according to reports from NDTV Profit. The company has engaged bankers and lawyers for the potential listing and is working towards filing a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) in the next few months. ICICI Securities and Pantomath Financial have been engaged for the potential listing process.
Founded in 2020 by Hemant Mahendrakumar Kabra, BGauss is backed by Bharat Value Fund, an Alternative Investment Fund managed by The Wealth Company, which is part of the Pantomath Group. The company recently raised ₹110 crore in Series D funding led by founder Kabra and Bharat Value Fund. BGauss develops electric scooters equipped with technology-driven features, including AI-enabled systems, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, fast-charging capabilities, and low-maintenance designs.
The plans for listing come as the two-wheeler electric vehicle market grows increasingly competitive, with new-age players such as Ather Energy and Ola Electric entering the space. Established companies including TVS Motor, Hero MotoCorp, and Bajaj Auto already hold significant market share in the traditional two-wheeler segment.
