
Alpine Texworld shares made their stock market debut on Tuesday, July 21, listing at ₹105 per share on both NSE and BSE, exactly at par with the IPO issue price. However, within minutes of listing, the stock hit the 5% lower circuit at ₹99.75, indicating immediate selling pressure from investors. The latest grey market premium (GMP) had indicated a ₹1 premium, suggesting limited enthusiasm among unofficial market participants ahead of the listing. According to Business Standard, the shares were transferred to successful bidders' demat accounts on July 20, with refunds for non-allottees processed on the same day. Following the listing, Alpine Texworld's market capitalisation stood at ₹401.5 crore, reflecting the post-listing price movement. On the BSE, over 1.08 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, with the stock hitting a high of ₹105 and a low of ₹99.75.
The initial public offering saw stronger investor interest on the final day of bidding, with the public issue being subscribed 1.40 times overall. As reported by Business Standard, the IPO received bids for 1,68,76,274 equity shares against 1,20,24,000 shares offered. The subscription breakdown showed Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) leading demand with their reserved portion subscribed 1.54 times, while Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) and Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) categories were each subscribed 1.09 times. This represents an improvement from the earlier reported 1.04 times subscription, indicating growing investor confidence in the textile manufacturer. Investors who secured Alpine Texworld IPO allotment made no gains as the shares listed at par with the issue price.
The Alpine Texworld IPO was a book-build issue of ₹126.25 crore comprising a fresh issue of 1.20 crore shares with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component. According to Business Standard, the price band was set between ₹100 and ₹105 per share with a face value of ₹10 and a lot size of 142 shares. The three-day subscription window opened on July 14, 2026 and closed on July 16, 2026. The issue allocation has been divided with 70% reserved for retail investors, 29% for non-institutional investors (NIIs), and the remaining 1% for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs). Kfin Technologies served as the registrar to the issue, while D and A Financial Services Private Limited acted as the book-running lead manager.
The company reported strong financial growth with profit after tax (PAT) jumping 152% year-on-year to ₹21.72 crore in FY26 from ₹8.63 crore in FY25. As reported by Business Standard, revenue from operations also showed robust growth of 44.4% YoY to ₹342.71 crore in FY26 from ₹237.32 crore in FY25. According to Business Standard, the IPO proceeds will be strategically utilised with ₹52.20 crore allocated to repay or prepay outstanding borrowings to improve the company's balance sheet and financial flexibility. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes and future business expansion. The company intends to utilise the net proceeds to set up a new weaving unit at its proposed Manufacturing Unit 3 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to enhance its grey fabric production capacity. As of March 31, 2026, total consolidated borrowings of the company stood at ₹170.6 crore.
According to Business Standard, Alpine Texworld is a vertically integrated textile manufacturer incorporated in February 2016, specialising in weaving, open-end spinning, and sizing. The company operates two manufacturing facilities in Ahmedabad and specialises in producing grey fabric and yarn, serving garment manufacturers and textile traders. Its operations are supported by a captive renewable energy setup, including 10.30 MW of operational solar power. The company has been strengthening its sustainability initiatives through significant renewable energy investments, including an 820 KW rooftop solar power plant at Unit 1 facility in January 2024 and a 5.4 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Banaskantha, Gujarat, in March 2025.
