The IPO market is set to revive with these two mainboard issues after a lull period, with the offerings together aiming to raise nearly ₹770 crore. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, the primary market will see some activity next week, with the upcoming offerings coming at a time when the primary market has witnessed subdued activity amid persistent market volatility and global uncertainties. The improving June calendar follows a lull that saw only two mainboard IPO launches in April and none in May, as geopolitical tensions, volatile markets and valuation concerns prompted several issuers to defer listing plans. Pranav Haldea, Managing Director at Prime Database Group, noted that "We could see a selective pickup in June, but issuers are likely to remain valuation-sensitive. Companies with strong fundamentals and reasonable pricing may proceed, while others could wait for more stable market conditions." Narinder Wadhwa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, SKI Capital Services added that "Many companies are not cancelling plans but waiting for favourable issuance windows amid geopolitical uncertainty and valuation concerns." According to Prime Database, 161 companies with valid SEBI approvals and an estimated issue size of about ₹2.42 lakh crore are awaiting launch, while another 74 companies seeking to raise around ₹1.53 lakh crore are awaiting regulatory clearance.
