India's recent trade agreements and rising investments in manufacturing are significantly improving the country's position in global supply chains, according to Investec Capital Services. As reported by CNBC TV18, these developments are creating favorable conditions for the country's electronics sector to expand its international presence.
According to Investec Capital Services' Head Equities Mukul Kochhar, electronics exports are among the best-placed segments to benefit from the improving global supply chain position. The company identifies strong opportunities across multiple electronics sub-segments, with particular emphasis on Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), original design manufacturing (ODM), and defense electronics as Indian companies deepen their global market presence.
As reported by CNBC TV18, the focus on original design manufacturing (ODM) represents a strategic shift toward higher-value manufacturing capabilities. This approach aligns with India's broader objective of moving up the value chain in the global electronics industry, leveraging the country's growing manufacturing capabilities and strategic positioning in international supply networks.
