
According to reports from Business Standard, GPT Infraprojects announced that its subsidiary, Alcon Builders and Engineers, has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder by Northeast Frontier Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, for a railway signalling project. The contract is valued at ₹97.31 crore and involves the provision of Electronic Interlocking at multiple railway stations on the HDN/HUN route of the Katihar Division. The company disclosed this win to exchanges on August 24, 2026, with the awarding entity being the Office of the General Manager Northeast Frontier Railway.
As reported by Business Standard, the contract encompasses the installation of Electronic Interlocking systems at ten railway stations including ADF (Adina), AZR (Azamnagar Road), KWE (Khurial), MXJ (Mangurjan), TMH (Tinmilehat), CAT (Chatterhat), SUD (Sudhani), TETA (Telta), PJP (Panjipara) and GIL (Gaisal). The project falls under the jurisdiction of the Katihar Division, highlighting the company's expansion into northeastern railway infrastructure development. This represents the largest single disclosed order in the company's recent filing history.
According to the latest disclosures, GPT Infraprojects has secured multiple significant orders across recent quarters, demonstrating diversified railway entity exposure. The company has received orders from Cao con, Eastern Railway worth ₹72.50 crore for auto signaling works at New Mugma and Mugma Yard, and from Pcmm, Eastern Railway for ₹72.00 crore supply of PSC sleepers. The total disclosed order inflow across the last three fiscal quarters stands at ₹289.00 crore across 4 orders, covering 0.90 quarters of average quarterly revenue. This translates to 0.22 years of annual revenue at the current run-rate.
As reported by Business Standard, on a consolidated basis, the company's net profit increased 4.90% YoY and declined 22.74% QoQ to ₹24.30 crore in Q1 FY27. Net sales declined 3.38% YoY and 27.16% QoQ to ₹306.30 crore in Q1 FY27. The company achieved an operating profit margin of 15.74% in Q1 FY27, showing sequential improvement from Q4 FY26's 14.29%.
