As per Business Standard, Ashoka Buildcon Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Chhattisgarh state government for developing a gems and jewellery park in Raipur under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The company submitted a bid in a joint venture where it holds a 51% stake as the lead member, with the project awarded by Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CSIDC). The development will be spread across 38,922 square meters in the capital city of Chhattisgarh. As confirmed by the company, the designated trading window for insiders and their immediate relatives will remain closed until 48 hours after the declaration of this information.
According to Business Standard, the project involves a premium payment of ₹112.40 crore and a lease rent of 2% of the premium amount at an escalation of 10% every fourth year. The lease period is 30 years, extendable up to 90 years with a construction period of 5 years. The infrastructure company expects to complete the project within 5 years. The company has confirmed that the order does not fall within Related Party Transactions and that the promoter group has no interest in the entity awarding the contract. As per Business Standard, the project will strengthen the company's presence in urban infrastructure and real estate development through the PPP route and further diversify its project portfolio.
Separately, Ashoka Buildcon informed exchanges that CRISIL Ratings had reaffirmed and subsequently withdrawn its long-term and short-term debt ratings. The long-term debt rating was reaffirmed at 'CRISIL AA-/Negative' and withdrawn, while the short-term debt rating was reaffirmed at 'CRISIL A1+' and withdrawn. According to the company, CRISIL withdrew both ratings at the company's request, in line with the rating agency's policy on withdrawal of ratings. This rating update provides additional confidence to investors amid the positive project developments.
According to Business Standard, Ashoka Buildcon's consolidated net profit declined 67.5% year-on-year to ₹146.80 crore for Q4 FY26, compared to ₹432.23 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations also fell 27.5% to ₹1,954.30 crore from ₹2,694.42 crore a year ago. Profit before tax dropped 66.9% to ₹159.52 crore. Despite the quarterly decline, the company's stock has shown recent momentum, with shares closing at ₹123.30, gaining ₹8.05 or 6.98% in the previous trading session. The stock has touched a 52-week high of ₹218.50 and a 52-week low of ₹101 on July 1, 2025, and March 30, 2026, respectively.
