PhonePe has launched PhonePe PulsePro, a new enterprise intelligence platform designed to provide businesses with hyperlocal market insights through AI-powered analysis. According to reports from Goodreturns, the platform transforms aggregated digital payment trends into actionable intelligence for companies making expansion, distribution, and site selection decisions. The platform leverages PhonePe's extensive payments network, which includes more than 700 million registered users and over 50 million registered merchants. As reported by Goodreturns, the value lies in small-area intelligence, where broad state or city-level data may not be sufficient for consumer brands, quick commerce players, lenders, or retailers who need to understand which postal codes show stronger digital adoption and where merchant density is rising.
As reported by Goodreturns, PhonePe PulsePro covers 99% of India's postal codes through its payments network, enabling insights across urban, semi-urban and rural markets. The platform offers three primary solutions: Category and Growth Intelligence covering over 200 store categories and 100+ market signals, Retail Network Intelligence for distribution planning and expansion decisions, and Hyperlocal Intelligence providing district-level and postal code-level insights. The company emphasizes that small-area intelligence is crucial for businesses needing to understand which postal codes show stronger digital adoption and where merchant density is rising. According to Goodreturns, the third solution can also help track digital ecosystem indicators, including quick commerce penetration, at a hyperlocal level.
According to Goodreturns, PhonePe PulsePro helps organizations plan retail networks, identify expansion markets, assess site locations, and study category growth. The platform addresses the challenge of varying consumption patterns between neighborhoods within the same city, providing businesses with the intelligence needed for smarter retail expansion decisions. The solution builds on PhonePe Pulse, the open data platform launched in 2021, while PulsePro offers deeper, customized intelligence specifically for enterprise users requiring operational planning and market prioritization support. As reported by Goodreturns, these decisions are becoming increasingly important as consumption patterns vary sharply between neighborhoods, even within the same city.
As reported by Goodreturns, Karthik Raghupathy, Head of Strategy at PhonePe, stated that businesses need better intelligence, not just more data. "Since launching PhonePe Pulse in 2021, we have seen a growing demand from organizations looking for deeper market insights to guide expansion and strategic decision-making. PhonePe PulsePro is our response to that need," he said. The launch reflects a wider shift in India's digital economy, where payments companies are increasingly using anonymized behavioral signals to build business products. For companies, transaction-led intelligence can reduce the risk of entering weak markets and improve capital allocation, while PhonePe faces the challenge of demonstrating that PulsePro's insights support real business decisions while maintaining privacy and responsible data use.
