GoCredit has launched India's first AI-powered Loan Agent, a conversational system that enables borrowers to discover, match, and apply for personal loans through a single chat-based interaction. The product has been in production since March 2026, processing real loan applications. According to GoCredit, the agent eliminates the traditional cycle where borrowers download multiple apps, re-enter details on each platform, and trigger separate hard inquiries on their credit bureau report. Instead, the borrower describes their requirement once, and the agent identifies the best-fit lender and submits a single consent-based application.
Early production data shows 25% improvement in conversion from offer click to KYC completion, driven by the agent's ability to match borrowers to the right lender before the application journey begins. GoCredit has facilitated over ₹100 crore in loan disbursals, generated more than 15 million loan offers, and served over 2 million borrowers across 55+ lending partners. The company projects a significant boost in application-to-disbursal conversion, translating directly into lower operational costs per loan for lenders through fewer wasted credit pulls and abandoned applications.
India's Account Aggregator (AA) framework has emerged as one of the world's largest open finance networks, covering over 999 financial entities across 17 Account Aggregators licensed by the regulator. According to reports from Mint, the ecosystem now includes 955 Financial Information Users (FIU) and 179 Financial Information Providers (FIP) supported by a growing base of technology service providers. As of 2026, the system has enabled more than 272 million accounts to be linked, with over 408 million consent requests fulfilled resulting in approximately 265 million monthly data flows.
The framework has achieved significant adoption among borrowers, with 80 to 90 million individuals or about 8% of India's adult population currently using the system. As reported by Mint, this adoption is expected to grow further as the ecosystem continues to expand. The lending ecosystem has already demonstrated tangible financial outcomes, with account aggregators enabling loans worth approximately ₹1.6 lakh crore in FY25. The system particularly benefits underserved borrowers with weak credit histories, who can access loans by sharing their financial data through this secure, consent-based framework.
The shift toward consent-driven data for credit underwriting and risk assessment is expected to become the norm for lenders who adopt this approach early. GoCredit's AI Loan Agent represents the next evolution in this trend, bringing intelligence and efficiency to the borrower's side of the transaction. The company's longer-term vision is to make this intelligence layer available across the broader lending ecosystem, with additional integrations rolling out in monthly waves through 2026. This development signals a clear shift toward a continuous, consent-driven financial data infrastructure that reshapes how financial services are accessed and delivered in India.
