Ribbit Capital is likely to sell a 1.6% stake in Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of Groww, via a block deal with a block size of ₹1,914 crore and floor price of ₹195 per share, as reported by CNBC-TV18. The transaction was executed at an estimated ₹196.2 per share, with 12.74 crore shares representing 2.1% of the company's equity changing hands. Groww shares were trading 3.1% lower at ₹196.7 in early afternoon deals, having declined 1.7% in the past month but gained 26.1% this year. The transaction came after a report on August 25 that existing investor Ribbit Capital had launched a block deal to sell a 1.6% stake in the Groww parent for about ₹1,914 crore.
The ₹678.63 crore block deal in Foseco India involved 11.51 lakh shares changing hands at ₹5,897 per share, with the transaction price at a discount of nearly 3% to the stock's previous close. The deal follows a report on August 26 that Morganite Crucible and Morgan Terrassen BV were likely to sell a combined 15.27% stake in Foseco India for up to ₹664.4 crore, with the floor price set at ₹5,773.63 per share, representing a discount of up to 5% to the prevailing market price. The proposed transaction was a secondary sale involving shares held by Morganite Crucible and Morgan Terrassen BV, meaning the proceeds would go to the selling shareholders rather than Foseco India. The identities of the buyers and sellers in Thursday's block transaction were not immediately available, though the transaction value of ₹678.63 crore was higher than the maximum offer size of ₹664.4 crore indicated in the earlier report.
