Jefferies has highlighted the alternatives business as a key growth driver, with the company's alternatives quarterly average AUM reaching ₹81,000 crore, largely equally split across PMS, AIF, and advisory segments. According to Jefferies, the PMS business benefited from higher inflows into small- and mid-cap funds during the quarter, while within AIFs, ICICI AMC already has private credit, real estate and private equity funds, with pre-leased offices being a potential area of opportunity. The investment bank expects the company's assets under management (AUM) to expand at 17% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over FY26 to FY29, with earnings could increase at 14% CAGR as the AMC continues to invest in portfolio management services (PMS) and alternative investment funds (AIF), and newer initiatives like specialised investment funds (SIF). Jefferies noted that the company has lower exposure to small- and mid-cap funds, lesser concentration of funds, and continues diversifying into PMS/AIFs, making it well-positioned for sustained growth.
ICICI Prudential AMC's quarterly average AUM rose 14.4% YoY to ₹11.61 lakh crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, from ₹10.15 lakh crore a year earlier, with its market share standing at 13.3%. According to Business Standard, MF QAAUM in the quarter under review grew by around 4% Q-o-Q to ₹11.6 trillion led by liquid (10%), passives (4.6%), and active equity (4.4%), while revenue yields improved to 57.5bps. However, Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) inflows declined 3% to ₹4,672 crore from ₹4,803 crore as most investors paused their SIP due to negative returns in the last few months.

Jefferies highlighted accelerating growth in mutual fund assets and raised its FY27-FY29 earnings estimates by 1-2%, citing improved yields and the company's expanding alternatives business. JM Financial maintained its positive outlook noting that revenue was up 18% YoY with yields edging up, supported by the growing alternates business with slightly higher alternates yield on real estate fund drawdowns.
