Indian markets surged for a third straight day, buoyed by global sentiment and strong performance from heavyweight stocks like HDFC Bank and YES Bank. Analysts note a technical breakout, with the Nifty finally breaking out of its consolidation range of 23,800–24,200 and moving closer to the next key hurdle, the 200-day EMA. While the overall trend has turned positive, the pace of advance may remain gradual due to resistance from the long-term moving average and previous swing high in the 24,450–24,600 zone. The sustained buying in select heavyweight counters has supported the market momentum across sectors.
