Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has extended its winning streak to six consecutive sessions, emerging among the top performers on the Nifty50 index. The pharmaceutical company's stock gained 2.34% to ₹1,382.20 on Monday, demonstrating strong momentum and consistent upward movement. According to reports from Business Standard, the stock has advanced 9.05% over six trading sessions, with the company gaining 7.92% in the last three months and 6.33% over the past year. The stock has traded at ₹1,350.60 during previous sessions, representing significant gains as the company continues to outperform broader market indices.
The stock's recent gains were driven by positive regulatory developments, with the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) completing a Pre-License Inspection (PLI) at the company's biologics manufacturing facility in Bachupally, Hyderabad, between 16 June 2026 and 25 June 2026. As reported by Business Standard, the company informed exchanges on 25 June 2026 that the inspection was conducted and the USFDA issued a Form 483 with seven observations. Dr. Reddy's has responded by stating it would address the observations within the stipulated timeline. This regulatory update has provided investor confidence and contributed to the stock's extended rally beyond the initial five-session winning streak. The company noted that this inspection is a continuation of earlier inspections and related disclosures made to the stock exchanges on 12 October 2023 and 13 September 2025.
The stock's performance stands in stark contrast to market benchmarks, with Dr Reddy's gaining 2.2% over the past year compared to a 5.31% decline in NIFTY and a 14.95% fall in the Nifty Pharma index. As reported by Business Standard, this outperformance reflects the company's resilience despite challenging market conditions affecting the pharmaceutical sector. The Nifty Pharma index, of which Dr Reddy's is a constituent, has added around 1.66% in the last one month and is currently quoting at 25,018.95, up 0.2% on the day. The company's recent performance demonstrates its ability to maintain growth momentum even amid sector-wide challenges.
Trading activity has significantly increased during the current rally, with around 4 million shares changing hands during the day and a traded value of ₹543.76 crore. According to Moneycontrol, this represents nearly double the average of 1.76 million shares traded over the previous seven sessions. The June futures contract is trading at ₹1,353.90, up 2.07%, reflecting positive sentiment in the derivatives market for the pharmaceutical company. The stock has added approximately 1.71% in the last month, demonstrating consistent performance across different timeframes.
Despite the recent stock gains, Dr Reddy's reported challenging financial results for Q4 FY26. As reported by Business Standard, the company reported a 86.14% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹220.9 crore on 11.51% drop in revenue from operations to ₹7,546.4 crore in Q4 FY26 over Q4 FY25. The Hyderabad-based global pharmaceutical company offers a portfolio of products and services including APIs, generics, branded generics, biosimilars and OTC products. The contrast between the stock's strong performance and recent financial results highlights investor focus on regulatory developments and future prospects rather than current earnings.
