According to latest market reports, Dr Reddy's Laboratories shares were trading at ₹1,200 on the NSE, closing 0.5% lower from the previous session. The stock's decline occurred amidst a prevailing very bearish sentiment, with the broader market showing mixed performance. The Nifty 50 closed with a mixed but mildly positive participation picture, with 26 advances outnumbering 22 declines, taking the advance-decline ratio to 1.18. For the quarter-ending June 2026, Dr Reddy's reported consolidated revenue of ₹8,099.80 crore, marking a 5.51% decrease from ₹8,572.10 crore in the quarter-ending June 2025. However, the company's latest results showed significant improvement in profitability metrics. Net profit for the same period stood at ₹434.80 crore, a substantial decline of 69.16% from ₹1,409.70 crore reported in June 2025. Earnings Per Share (EPS) also saw a substantial decline, dropping by 68.72% to 5.33 in June 2026 from 17.04 in June 2025. The company's strong quarterly performance helped offset earlier concerns about revenue decline.
According to the company's annual consolidated results, Dr Reddy's consolidated revenue increased by 3.23% from ₹32,643.90 crore in the year-ending March 2025 to ₹33,700.20 crore in March 2026. However, net profit declined by 27.34% from ₹5,703.50 crore to ₹4,144.20 crore during the same period. The EPS also dropped by 25.75% from 67.89 to 50.41, while the Return on Equity (ROE) decreased from 16.85% in March 2025 to 11.07% in March 2026, representing a 34.25% decrease.
The broader market performance on the trading day reflected selective buying with leadership coming from consumption-linked, finance and industrial-facing names. Titan Company emerged as the top Nifty 50 gainer, rising 3.02% to ₹5,090 and closing near its intraday high after touching ₹5,122.20. Tata Consumer Products added 2.44% to ₹1,108.70, leading the Agri category. Bajaj Finance gained 2.24% to ₹1,102.20, while Shriram Finance rose 2.04% to ₹1,137.80. However, State Bank of India was the biggest Nifty 50 laggard, falling 2.39% to ₹1,071 due to profit-taking after results rally. The FMCG sector declined 0.75% with all three represented stocks lower, while the Power sector fell 0.58%.
