CCTV stocks witnessed strong buying interest amid the growing AI theme in global markets, including Dalal Street. According to reports from Live Mint, CP Plus brand parent Aditya Infotech shares touched 5% upper circuit within minutes of market opening, with the stock opening at ₹3,873.15 and touching ₹3,989.05 during Monday's session. SME stock Prizor Viztech surged 5% and hit upper circuit during the same session. Stock market experts attribute this rally to a relief rally on Dalal Street, with the benefit of the growing AI theme trickling down to CCTV stocks. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, Aditya Infotech gained 5% to ₹3,989 on Monday, inching closer to its 52-week high of ₹4,094, with the stock recording volumes of over 2.47 lakh shares during the session.
The growing AI adoption is expanding CCTV's role beyond traditional security applications. As reported by Live Mint, Anuj Gupta, SEBI-registered market expert, explained that computer vision can analyze live feeds for footfall, customer movement, queue lengths, occupancy and unusual activity, creating applications across retail, enterprises and public infrastructure. Mahesh M Ojha, VP — Research and Business Development, noted that artificial intelligence is emerging as a key growth driver for India's surveillance and CCTV industry, with conventional security systems increasingly combined with video analytics, computer vision and automated monitoring. Aditya Infotech launched CP Plus AI, an AI solution that extends the functions of traditional CCTV cameras, in FY25 and has a collaboration with Qualcomm on technology. The trend is also opening up opportunities for companies focused on AI-led surveillance, including Transline Technologies, which has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus and builds AI-driven tools for video analytics, attendance tracking and surveillance.
Aditya Infotech shares have delivered exceptional returns of around 194% over one year, making it among the multibagger stocks in 2026. According to Live Mint, the CCTV stock has risen 162% in 2026 against a 15% fall in the benchmark, with a market capitalisation near ₹48,917 crore. Prizor Viztech has delivered over 300% in YTD and nearly 317% in one year, with the SME stock listed on the NSE SME platform. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, Prizor Viztech gained 5% to ₹1,316 on Tuesday, with its market capitalisation standing at around ₹1,421 crore and RoCE at 39% and RoE at 36%. The strong performance reflects the growing investor interest in AI-enabled surveillance solutions, with Aditya Infotech's price of about ₹3,989 being nearly six times its ₹675 IPO price.
While AI transformation drives growth in CCTV stocks, valuations present significant concerns for investors. Prizor Viztech trades at a high price-to-earnings ratio of about 58 times and price-to-book of about 18 times, with returns on capital of 38.7% and 35.8% respectively. As reported by Live Mint, the SME stock faces challenges with thin liquidity, wide price swings and limited public data, with some data providers flagging its data as unverified. Aditya Infotech raised capital through a QIP in September, adding dilution concerns for investors. After hitting a new high, Aditya Infotech shares came under profit-booking and were down marginally by 0.19% at ₹3,981 on Tuesday, as per The Hindu BusinessLine. Market experts recommend treating the AI label as a sentiment driver while checking earnings, liquidity and dilution before making investment decisions.
