BlueStone Jewellery shares declined 6.5% to ₹520.65 on Tuesday, June 9, following the execution of a significant block deal worth approximately ₹300 crore. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the transaction involved the sale of up to 67.6 lakh shares at an average price of ₹527 per share, representing a discount of around 5.4% to the company's closing price. The base transaction comprises nearly 4.4% of the company's outstanding equity capital, with the deal carrying an upsize option though specific details remain undisclosed. The latest data shows the total transaction value could be nearly ₹356 crore at the average price.
As reported by CNBC TV18, the selling shareholders include Accel India III (Mauritius), SBI Life Insurance (5% stake), Nippon India Trustee-owned funds (4.03% stake), Peak XV Partners, Kalaari Capital, Iron Pillar, and IvyCap Ventures. The block deal is structured as a secondary sale by existing investors and does not involve the issuance of fresh equity shares, meaning Bluestone will not receive any proceeds from the transaction. The proposed stake sale allows early investors to partially monetise their investments following the stock's strong performance since its listing. The term sheet states that selling shareholders will be subject to a 90-day lock-up period, preventing additional stake sales during that time and potentially limiting near-term supply pressure on the stock.
