Bandhan Mutual Fund has completely exited Apollo Pipes, the PVC pipe and fittings manufacturer, by selling its entire 5 lakh shares (equivalent to 1.14% of paid-up equity) for ₹20.16 crore. According to reports from Moneycontrol, the scheme sold 2.5 lakh shares at ₹395.7 and another 2.5 lakh shares at ₹410.72 per share. Meanwhile, Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company offloaded 4.17 lakh shares (2.37% stake) in Styrenix Performance Materials for ₹78.58 crore at ₹1,884 per share. The selling activity occurred through open market transactions on March 10.
The mutual fund exits had immediate market implications, with Apollo Pipes shares falling 3.46% to ₹382.1 on the NSE, while Styrenix Performance shares rallied 2.85% to ₹1,937.6. As reported by Moneycontrol, the brisk trading activity was also seen in Nazara Technologies, the gaming and sports media platform, which rose 2.4% to ₹245.55. In Nazara, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore acquired 28.85 lakh shares (0.77% stake) from Think India Opportunities Master Fund for ₹69.18 crore at ₹239.8 per share.
The day's trading also witnessed significant foreign investment activity across multiple sectors. According to Moneycontrol reports, Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas exchanged shares of Niyogin Fintech, Repro India, and Aegis Vopak Terminals. BNP Paribas Financial Markets acquired 6.71 lakh shares (0.6% stake) in Niyogin Fintech at ₹35.05 per share for ₹2.35 crore from Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore), while they exchanged 1.64 lakh shares (1.1% stake) of Repro India at ₹392.5 per share for ₹6.47 crore.
Small block deals were also recorded in major banking and industrial stocks. As reported by Moneycontrol, Societe Generale acquired 33.98 lakh shares in Federal Bank from BNP Paribas Financial Markets at ₹276 per share for ₹93.79 crore, while they exchanged 6.8 lakh Indian Bank shares at ₹925 per share for ₹62.98 crore. The trading activity also included 14.27 lakh shares in National Aluminium Company at ₹388 per share for ₹55.37 crore and 4.49 lakh shares of State Bank of India at ₹1,114 per share for ₹50.02 crore.
