Infosys Ltd emerged as the top gainer, rising 4.47% to ₹1,193.60, followed by Tech Mahindra Ltd which gained 3.88% to ₹1,485.50. HCL Technologies Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd also posted strong gains of 3.51% and 3.09% respectively, while Adani Enterprises Ltd advanced 2.59% to ₹2,759.50. On the losing side, Hindalco Industries Ltd declined 1.20% to ₹1,040.50, with Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd falling 0.98% to ₹294.30 and Coal India Ltd dropping 0.85% to ₹458.15. Cipla Ltd also underperformed with a 0.63% decline to ₹1,417.20.
More than 120 companies are scheduled to release their financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2026, on Tuesday, May 19. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the earnings announcements include major companies such as Bharat Electronics, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Mankind Pharma, Zydus Lifesciences, and Zee Entertainment Enterprises. According to brokerage firm Motilal Oswal, BEL is expected to deliver revenue growth of 14% YoY, led by healthy execution of the opening order book of ₹730 billion. The company released provisional figures reporting orders worth ₹300 billion, including export orders valued at $346 million. Revenue, excluding other operating income, stood at ₹268 billion, marking a 16% year-on-year increase, while export revenue rose 34% YoY to $142 million. The brokerage firm anticipates 5% YoY growth in the organic international business, with overall organic business expected to grow 9% YoY in Q4FY26. For BSV, quarterly sales are projected to grow 10% YoY (-1% QoQ) due to the impact of the West Asia conflict on its international business. The firm forecasts 110 bps YoY decline in gross margin to 70.5% in Q4FY26, with consolidated reported EBITDA expected to grow 11% YoY (-18% QoQ) to ₹7.6 billion.
