In December 2025, JSW Paints Limited (JPL) acquired nearly 61% stake in Akzo Nobel India and subsequently renamed the company as JSW Dulux (JDL). As reported by Business Standard, this acquisition made JDL part of the JSW Group, significantly enhancing its financial flexibility. The association is expected to yield various business and operational synergies including expansion in scale and dealer network, brand and geographical synergies, along with improvement in product portfolio.
JSW Dulux reported flattish revenue growth of ₹3,584 crore in FY2026 and is expected to increase in FY2027, aided by wider distribution reach and gradual realization of synergy benefits across manufacturing, logistics and marketing operations. According to Business Standard, the company is projected to register healthy operating margins of 14-16% in FY2027e, compared to 13.8% in FY2026. The financial profile remains robust with no external debt as on March 31, 2026, and debt protection metrics are estimated to remain strong with limited reliance on debt.
JSW Dulux benefits from its long operational track record in the Indian paints industry and pan-India dealer network of over 22,000 dealers. As reported by Business Standard, the company's flagship brand Dulux has strong presence in the premium decorative paints segment in India. The company operates in two segments - industrial paints and decorative paints - with capacity of 305 million litres per annum (MLPA) and brands including Dulux, International, Sikkens and Interpon.
The stock price of JSW Dulux had advanced 1.22% to end at ₹1,325 on the BSE on Friday, according to Business Standard. The credit profile remains exposed to intense competition from organized and unorganized players, especially in the decorative paints segment, which constrains pricing flexibility. Operating profitability remains susceptible to volatility in raw material prices given the raw material intensive nature of paint manufacturing business.
