ZIGChain, a blockchain platform built for institutional investment products, has announced a strategic integration with Ondo Finance to bring tokenized US stocks and ETFs to users across ZIGChain's ecosystem. According to reports from ZIGChain, this partnership extends the shared vision of accessible onchain exposure to publicly traded US securities to a new generation of users through ZIGChain's infrastructure. The integration combines ZIGChain's infrastructure for regulated investment products with Ondo Finance's tokenized securities platform, aligning with ZIGChain's strategy of bringing established financial products onchain rather than creating entirely new investment instruments. As reported by Finbold on Monday, June 8, 2026, this collaboration deepens ZIGChain's real-world asset stack alongside existing partnerships with Valdora Finance's Liquid RWA Vaults and Beehive's tokenized SME private credit pipeline.
Access to Ondo-tokenized products through ZIGChain will roll out in phases beginning at the end of May, with initial availability across selected ecosystem applications and partners. As reported by ZIGChain, the integration does not constitute a token launch or guarantee of yield or returns. Underlying assets are issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited, and ZIGChain does not custody underlying real-world assets. The rollout will expand over time as the partnership matures and reaches more users across the GCC and beyond, with particular focus on expanding access for users in the Gulf Cooperation Council region and beyond. The companies noted that the integration does not represent a token launch and does not guarantee investment returns or yield, with all investments carrying risk according to the company statement.
The partnership comes as Ondo Finance expands its leadership team with the appointment of John Hoffman as managing director and head of product portfolios. Hoffman joins from Grayscale Investments where he served as head of distribution and partnerships, and previously spent nearly two decades at Invesco, most recently leading the firm's ETF and index strategies business in the Americas. According to Hoffman's statement to CoinDesk, the company's next step is building the world's most trusted platform for intelligently managed, onchain investment portfolios. "It took 30 years for ETFs to go from niche product to the default vehicle," he said, "Onchain finance will compress that timeline dramatically." The hire points to Ondo's plans to move beyond tokenized versions of individual assets toward managed investment products on blockchain rails, with Hoffman's focus on building and distributing tokenized portfolios including investment baskets developed with asset managers.
Ondo Global Markets serves as an issuance and redemption platform for tokenized publicly traded US stocks and ETFs, enabling investors outside the United States to gain economic exposure to these assets by minting, transferring, and redeeming securities-backed tokens. Each token is fully backed by the corresponding stock or ETF together with cash in transit, as reported by ZIGChain. The partnership leverages ZIGChain's Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure designed for regulated, institutional investment opportunities, positioning the platform as a scalable infrastructure for institutional-grade tokenized assets. According to RWA.xyz data, the market for tokenized assets has nearly tripled in a year, surpassing $30 billion, with Citi projecting tokenized assets could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030 and a joint report from Boston Consulting Group and Ripple estimating the market could grow to $18.9 trillion by 2033. Ondo has been among the biggest crypto-native players in the sector, with Ondo Global Markets having surpassed $1 billion in total value locked across more than 250 stocks and ETFs.
