On October 6, Ondo Finance launched Ondo Private Markets, offering tokenized exposure to private companies with 24/7 secondary trading capabilities. The first product references an unnamed pre-IPO artificial intelligence company, with secondary-market trading expected to begin this week. According to the company, holders receive economic exposure through notes, not company shares, voting rights, or direct equity ownership. The tokens are freely transferable and composable, potentially allowing supported DeFi applications to integrate them, though no specific trading venues or protocols have been disclosed yet. As per AMBCrypto, the notes' payout is linked to the value realised per common share when the referenced company undergoes a qualifying liquidity event, meaning buyers share in the company's performance without actual share ownership.
According to reports from AMBCrypto, Ondo's tokenized asset growth is transitioning from a single-network model to broader distribution across multiple blockchain platforms. While Ethereum maintains a $2.1 billion value representing 52.37% of total liquidity, this concentration has eased significantly, indicating the platform's expansion beyond its traditional base. The shift represents a fundamental change in how tokenized assets are being utilized across the decentralized finance ecosystem, with Ondo now moving into private markets alongside established players.
As reported by Cryptobriefing, Avalanche has added $266 million in new Real World Assets (RWA) market capitalization over the past 30 days, significantly outpacing other blockchain networks. The platform now holds approximately $428 million in tokenized assets, representing a 60.32% increase or approximately $147 million growth over the past 30 days. This growth is primarily driven by institutional adoption, with nearly half of the increase tracing back to a single issuer - Securitize platform, which holds roughly $770 million in tokenized stocks. The platform has also attracted institutional interest, with BlackRock's BUIDL fund participating as an early participant in Avalanche's tokenized equity offerings.
According to AMBCrypto, Solana has surpassed $456.7 million in tokenized assets, representing a 60.32% increase or approximately $147 million growth over the past 30 days. The network has also demonstrated strong user adoption, with 123,500 new holders joining over the same period. This diversification across networks significantly expands Ondo's ability to distribute tokenized product offerings to users across multiple platforms. Currently, there are 521,028 token holders transferring $2.38 billion per month, demonstrating active circulation rather than simple creation of new assets.
The ONDO token has shown strong performance following the private markets announcement, trading at $0.507 after a 50% run from mid-September lows near $0.33. However, the token peaked at $0.61 on October 28 before retreating, currently moving sideways with RSI at 63 and OBV at 329 million. According to AMBCrypto, $0.55 represents the first level worth watching if new notes generate significant volume, while $0.48 would indicate uncomfortable territory for the token. The platform's expansion into private markets comes as the tokenized asset sector faces increased competition, with Ondo joining established players like Robinhood's venture fund, which invested $75 million in OpenAI common stock in April and opened it to retail investors through a closed-end fund.
