Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has launched WazirX AI, marking what the company claims is India's first AI co-pilot for crypto trading. According to a company statement, the tool is available on Android, iOS and Web platforms, combining market research, portfolio analysis and trade preparation in a single conversational interface. The AI assistant follows an 'Ask-Understand-Decide' model, coordinating market-data, technical-analysis, portfolio and order-management functions across multi-step requests. As reported by Outlook Business, the tool allows users to ask questions about live crypto prices, market news and macroeconomic developments, receive analysis with supporting charts, review their portfolios and approve trades without switching between different screens. "Crypto markets operate 24/7, but traders should not have to spend their day moving between charts, news feeds and trading screens," said Nischal Shetty, founder, WazirX. "WazirX AI combines market research, portfolio monitoring and trade preparation into one conversation, reducing the time and effort required to evaluate an opportunity and act on it. The AI streamlines the workflow, and enables a faster and easier decision making process."
The AI assistant allows users to ask questions about live crypto prices, market news and macroeconomic developments, receive analysis with supporting charts, review their portfolios and approve trades without switching between different screens. As reported by Outlook Business, users can request live portfolio briefings covering account value, profit and loss and open positions, as well as receive daily morning updates. Before placing a trade, the assistant displays the user's live portfolio and uses their risk preferences to recommend a position size, with proposed orders presented through an approval card showing parameters including entry price, leverage, margin, stop-loss, take-profit and estimated loss. According to WazirX, the tool can also prepare and execute spot and futures trades within a conversation, streamlining the entire trading workflow. The assistant can analyse information, use portfolio data, prepare an order and present it to the user for approval before execution, with market and limit orders, short positions and pair-specific leverage limits supported for both spot and futures trading. Users can initiate trades through the AI interface, but the platform keeps the final decision with the user, with trade details reviewed before confirmation and orders not executed without approval.
Users can issue monitoring instructions in natural language, such as asking the assistant to notify them if Bitcoin breaks a key support level, with the AI evaluating the specified condition and sending alerts when met. For complex analysis, users can ask the assistant to screen Indian Rupee futures for four-hour momentum, filter opportunities against specified risk-reward thresholds, validate shortlists across multiple timeframes and prepare trade orders. According to WazirX, the workflow can reduce processes that traditionally involve hours of gathering market context to less than 10 minutes. As reported by Outlook Business, the assistant can also provide live portfolio information, including portfolio value, profit and loss and open positions, with users able to request portfolio briefings or set up monitoring instructions using natural language. The tool enables faster and easier decision making by combining market research, portfolio monitoring and trade preparation into one conversation, reducing the time and effort required to evaluate opportunities and act on them.
Alongside the AI assistant launch, WazirX is introducing a paper-trading sandbox that provides users with a simulated USD 100,000 balance to test strategies and experience the research-to-trade workflow before committing real funds. As reported by Outlook Business, the paper-trading sandbox is open to all users and supports spot and futures trading, market and limit orders, short positions and pair-specific maximum leverage. The assistant uses live WazirX price data and is available to users on Android, iOS and the web. The sandbox is intended to let users test strategies and experience the research-to-trade workflow before committing real funds, with simulated performance not necessarily translating into live-market returns. The platform also allows users to create AI-powered alerts, with traders able to specify market conditions such as Bitcoin breaking a particular support level, with the system monitoring the condition and sending notifications when met.
WazirX, founded in 2018, offers INR-based access to cryptocurrencies through spot and perpetual futures markets. According to the company statement, it is registered as a Reporting Entity with India's Financial Intelligence Unit and follows know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering processes. The exchange operates 24/7 and aims to reduce the time and effort required for traders to evaluate opportunities and execute trades through the AI-powered platform. As reported by Outlook Business, Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX, emphasized that crypto markets operate 24/7, but traders should not have to spend their day moving between charts, news feeds and trading screens, highlighting how WazirX AI combines these functions into one conversation. The launch comes as AI agents increasingly move from conversational assistance toward taking actions inside applications, bringing additional importance to controls around trade approval, risk management and the transparency of AI-generated recommendations. The development comes at a time when cryptocurrency exchanges are increasingly using AI to simplify complex trade information, with WazirX previously outlining AI as part of its strategy to improve the platform and attract users following its restructuring after the 2024 cyberattack.
