Upbit has expanded its Data Lab with AI Market Report and Uptrace, giving users AI-generated market summaries and analysis of factors linked to individual crypto price moves. According to reports from crypto.news, the AI Market Report produces 90-second videos using information from across the crypto market, including the Upbit composite index, prices of major digital assets, leading gainers and losers, and market sentiment indicators. The AI selects major issues based on price changes and market impact, then summarizes the key points. New reports are released at 10 a.m. on weekdays through Upbit Data Lab and the exchange's official YouTube channel. As per Dunamu, the company revamped these services to help users more easily identify major trends in the digital asset market and the reasons behind price fluctuations by using AI to analyze market data and news.
Uptrace takes a more asset-specific approach by comparing price data with related news to identify factors that may have contributed to a cryptocurrency's movement. As reported by crypto.news, diamond-shaped markers appear on an asset's price chart when relevant information is available, and users can select one of these markers to view the AI-generated analysis and related news associated with the movement. The tool allows users to view price trends for individual assets on Upbit Data Lab together with related news and AI analysis from the same point in time. By selecting the diamond icon displayed on the chart, users can see the background behind a price move at a specific moment. According to Dunamu, Uptrace is a service in which AI analyzes key factors that influenced price movements by tracking price data for individual assets and related news.
Dunamu has been adding analytics functions to Data Lab in stages since its April 2025 launch. According to crypto.news, a composite technical indicator arrived in May, followed in June by a feature tracking flows into U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange traded funds. An asset screener was introduced in August, allowing users to filter digital assets using selected market data. The new AI services expand the platform beyond these data-focused features by using automated analysis to organize market information and connect news developments with movements in individual cryptocurrencies.
Upbit has reorganized its existing AI News Briefing into Real time Issues and Topic NOW, giving each service a different role in sorting crypto news. As reported by crypto.news, Real time Issues groups news according to the underlying issue and ranks stories based on their importance, while Topic NOW is designed for subjects that develop across several separate reports, bringing the information together under one topic. Each Topic NOW summary is limited to three paragraphs or fewer and shows how the underlying story has developed. The revamped service delivers newly emerging market issues by having AI classify digital asset-related news by issue and organize it by importance, while Topic NOW groups related content scattered across multiple news items into a single topic.
According to crypto.news, Dunamu's chief data officer stated that the digital asset market moves around the clock, making it difficult for users to check and interpret vast amounts of data and news on their own. Kim Dae-hyun, chief data officer at Dunamu, emphasized that "As the digital asset market moves 24 hours a day, users may have difficulty checking and interpreting it themselves." He added, "We will continue to upgrade related services, using AI to create an environment where complex market information can be understood more easily and quickly." The Data Lab expansion follows other AI initiatives by Dunamu, including a partnership with Visa to explore stablecoin payments and AI-driven financial services, and the company's recent approval to access South Korea's shared administrative information system for KYC verification.
