Trump Mobile has collected approximately $59 million in $100 deposits from nearly 590,000 buyers for its T1 gold phone, according to reports from The Verge. The Trump Organization-backed wireless brand has rescheduled the launch at least four times since June 2025, with the latest preorder terms now stating that the device may never exist. The company promised an August 2025 delivery for the $499 handset, billed as American-made, but has failed to meet any of its shipping commitments.
On April 6, 2026, T1 Mobile LLC updated its deposit terms to explicitly state that a $100 deposit 'does not guarantee that a Device will be produced or made available for purchase,' as reported by The Verge and IBTimes UK. The terms provide only a 'conditional opportunity' to purchase the phone if Trump Mobile eventually chooses to sell it, with all discretion resting with the company. The deposit is not a binding sales contract, and the company explicitly states it 'does not guarantee that a Device will be produced or made available for purchase.'
Trump Mobile has repeatedly pushed back delivery dates, initially rescheduling from August to November 2025, then December, and finally to mid to late January 2026, as reported by The Verge. In late December, customer service blamed the federal government shutdown for delays. A Q1 2026 window came and went, with the release date subsequently disappearing from trumpmobile.com. The company now promotes refurbished Samsung phones and iPhones on its $47.45 '47 Plan', referencing Trump's standing as the 45th and 47th president.
Trump Mobile's '47 Plan' operates on the T-Mobile network and claims to offer 'better than the rest' services including 100% U.S.-based support, extensive 5G coverage, unlimited talk, text and data, telehealth services, roadside assistance, and international calling to over 230 countries and territories. The plan is priced at $47.45 per month and represents the company's current revenue stream while the T1 phone remains unavailable.
