According to reports from AMBCrypto, Stellar [XLM] delivered one of its strongest daily performances, surging 40.43% over the last 24 hours to reach $0.2862. The rally significantly expanded the cryptocurrency's market capitalization to $9.62 billion, demonstrating substantial market interest in the breakout. Trading activity accelerated sharply with volume climbing 33.85% to $2.27 billion, indicating that fresh demand entered the market rather than price advancing on thin liquidity.
As reported by AMBCrypto, derivatives traders increased exposure as the breakout unfolded across the market. Open Interest rose 10.89% and reached $361.31 million, indicating that new positions entered the market alongside the rally. Unlike short-lived spikes that often occur during low participation periods, this increase developed alongside rising volume and expanding market value. The combination suggested traders actively engaged with the breakout rather than simply closing existing positions, with the increase in leveraged activity reflecting growing conviction behind the move.
According to AMBCrypto analysis, XLM completed a decisive breakout from a multi-month descending channel that had constrained price action since late 2025. The rally originated near the long-term support at $0.1424 before accelerating through the channel ceiling and reclaiming the key levels at $0.2018 and $0.2566. Technical indicators reinforced the strength of the advance, with the Stoch RSI climbing into overheated territory, reaching readings of 100 and 95.15. While such levels often accompanied strong rallies, they can also precede short-term cooling periods, though the indicator remained aligned with the breakout structure.
Despite XLM's explosive rally, as reported by AMBCrypto, Binance's top traders continued favoring short positions. CoinGlass data showed that 55.6% of accounts remained short, while only 44.4% maintained long exposure, producing a Long/Short Ratio of 0.80. This imbalance created a notable risk for short sellers, as continued strength could pressure them to exit positions and force covering would add additional buying activity into the market. The divergence between the price surge and bearish positioning among top traders suggests that many participants had not fully embraced the breakout.
According to AMBCrypto analysis, if XLM continues holding above $0.2566, the rally could extend toward higher resistance levels despite elevated conditions. The next major resistance is positioned at $0.2979, with a higher barrier waiting near $0.3329. If buyers continue defending the current support levels, XLM could challenge the $0.2979 resistance and potentially reach the $0.3329 level. The combination of rising volume, expanding Open Interest, and reclaimed support levels strengthened the bullish case, though resistance remains overhead and Stoch RSI has reached overheated territory.
