According to reports from AMBCrypto, PancakeSwap's CAKE token surged 13% and reached a 9-month high of $2.28 for the first time since December 2025. As of the latest trading session, CAKE was trading around $2.26, marking a 13.4% surge on daily charts. The rally was accompanied by significant trading activity, with volume climbing 112% to 110% and turnover reaching a record high of $25 million, as reported by CoinAnk data.
As reported by AMBCrypto, CAKE has demonstrated strong deflationary performance with 34 consecutive months of deflation. Since peaking in 2023, the supply of CAKE tokens has been reduced by 53 million CAKE, representing a 14.5% reduction to the tokens' market supply. This deflationary mechanism has acted as a major boost to market demand during periods of extended weakness, with reduced supply historically resulting in price gains.
According to AMBCrypto analysis, PancakeSwap's derivatives market showed strong activity with Open Interest surging 39% to $51 million and volume rising 115% to $89 million. The Long/Short Ratio held above 1 across major exchanges, with Binance top traders showing more bullish sentiment at a ratio of 3.7. Market delta has remained positive since mid-August, currently holding around 131.6k, indicating more buying activity relative to selling pressure.
As reported by AMBCrypto, technical indicators suggest strong bullish momentum with the Aroon Oscillator holding within an upward trajectory around 92, reflecting intense bullish pressure. The Stochastic Momentum Index (SMI) has been rising, reaching 77 at press time, nearly hitting the overbought zone. For the bullish outlook to hold, CAKE needs to maintain support above $2.00, with failure potentially leading to a drop to $1.80. If demand continues, the token is likely to clear the $2.4 resistance and target a move to $3.00.
