Jito Labs has unveiled JTX, a new crypto trading platform designed specifically for traders on the Solana blockchain. According to reports from CoinDesk, JTX is the company's first product built for traders and allows users to trade tokens on Solana while maintaining self-custody of their funds. The platform is currently open for sign-ups via a waitlist, with early access expected soon.
JTX is designed to offer centralized exchange-style speed and advanced trading tools while maintaining user control of funds. As reported by CoinDesk, the platform includes stop-loss orders, preset trade strategies, and detailed market charts powered by TradingView. Lucas Bruder, CTO at Jito Labs, stated that "JTX is what happens when we point that at traders who've outgrown what's currently being built for them. It beats a CEX on execution. It doesn't take your keys."
The launch comes as trading activity on Solana has surged significantly, with decentralized exchanges on the network processing over $1 trillion in volume last year. According to Jito Labs, much of the more sophisticated trading still occurs on centralized platforms or other blockchains. The company is betting that demand for more advanced, on-chain trading will continue to grow.
JTX plans to expand beyond spot trading into products like perpetual futures and prediction markets. As reported by CoinDesk, a large portion of the revenue generated by JTX will go back to the protocol, benefiting holders of its JTO token. The platform is built on Solana's infrastructure, which Jito Labs describes as processing more daily transactions than every other blockchain combined.
The platform targets more sophisticated traders who have outgrown current offerings and still use centralized platforms. According to CoinDesk, JTX allows users to trade tokens on Solana while maintaining full control of their funds, unlike other setups that require handing assets over to centralized exchanges like Coinbase or Binance.
