According to reports from AMBCrypto, Hyperliquid has established a clear dominance in the DEX derivatives market, significantly outperforming competitor Aster. At press time, Hyperliquid led with approximately $7.62 billion in open interest and $7.89 billion in 24-hour volume, while Aster recorded around $1.96 billion in open interest and $1.70 billion in 24-hour volume. Crypto analyst Ryker attributed Hyperliquid's edge to transparency, noting that public chain activity makes large whale trades easier to track and discuss, keeping the platform in conversation and attracting more traders.
As reported by AMBCrypto, Hyperliquid has introduced Pre-IPO perpetual markets through HIP-3 and TradeXYZ, allowing traders to take price exposure to companies before public offerings. These are perpetual derivatives, not shares, IPO allocations, tokenized equity, or ownership rights, designed around pre-listing price discovery. The oracle is linked to the company's latest funding round, while the market decides trading prices. $CBRS is currently tradable with an IPO expected on May 7th, demonstrating the practical application of this innovative product offering.
According to AMBCrypto, the market performance reflects the growing confidence in Hyperliquid's position. At the time of writing, HYPE was up 50.02% while ASTER was down 9.14% over the same timeframe. HYPE closed around $40.96, gaining 3.13% on the day, after trading between roughly $39.70 and $41.16. The significant price gap indicates market preference for Hyperliquid's transparency and innovative product offerings, despite Aster's association with prominent figures like Binance's Changpeng Zhao.
