GRAM has risen 9% to $1.56 as Telegram expands access to its non-custodial wallet Money for token transfers and collectible purchases. According to Walt's announcement, the wallet is now rolling out more widely across the messaging platform's audience of more than one billion users. The expansion follows a phased release that began in August 2025, when selected accounts first received access to the fee-free transfer feature. As reported by Money, the wallet enables instant Gram transfers directly from the messaging app, with the Money section appearing after someone sends a user an incoming transfer.
Users can top up their Money wallet from Walt in a few taps, with transfers described as instant and carrying zero network fees. The wallet allows users to store and transfer GRAM, as well as buy items using gifts and collectible usernames. Walt operates as a separate platform supporting more than 300 digital assets across four blockchains, including more than 200 cryptocurrencies for trading and over 100 tokenized stocks, ETFs and metals. For derivatives users, Walt offers perpetual futures covering more than 70 assets, including contracts tied to oil, natural gas and metals. The two platforms differ in approach - Money is a non-custodial wallet focused on payments and transfers within Telegram, while Walt provides both custodial and decentralized finance wallet options for broader cryptocurrency trading.
The reported rally lifted GRAM's market capitalization to $4.12 billion and trading volume to $132.4 million, representing a 41% increase in 24-hour trading volume. According to market reports, this surge follows Telegram founder Pavel Durov's July announcement of plans for a native wallet with instant transfers without fees across the messaging app's billion-plus monthly users. The 9% gain coincided with the wider Money rollout, erasing the bearish momentum that had taken over GRAM's trend in the last 7 days.
In its September announcement, Walt said the former Wallet in Telegram service had adopted its new name after expanding beyond its original role of buying Toncoin and Bitcoin. The company supports more than 300 assets across four blockchains, including more than 200 cryptocurrencies for trading and over 100 tokenized stocks, ETFs and metals. For derivatives users, Walt offers perpetual futures covering more than 70 assets, including contracts tied to oil, natural gas and metals. The strategy also includes the token's earlier rebranding from Toncoin to Gram, a move that changed the asset's market identity while the underlying TON blockchain retained its name, forming part of Telegram's broader effort to position Gram within its expanding payments and digital-asset ecosystem.
