According to Binance's official announcement, the exchange will remove four USDC spot trading pairs involving BREV, COOKIE, LA and QNT on September 18 at 03:00 UTC. The removal follows Binance's periodic market review process, with the exchange citing poor liquidity and trading volume levels as key factors for the decision. As reported by Binance, the action specifically removes the USDC-quoted pairs while the underlying tokens remain available through other Binance spot markets and trading pairs.
Despite the pair removals, BREV, COOKIE, LA and QNT continue to trade across multiple venues and quote currencies. According to CoinGecko data, BREV/USDT remains active with approximately $3 million in 24-hour global volume and trading near $0.0735. COOKIE/USDT shows $1.6 million in 24-hour volume and trades around $0.0101. LA/USDT maintains $20 million in 24-hour volume with the token trading near $0.0638. QNT/USDT continues trading near $59.59 with a market capitalization of approximately $867 million, making it substantially larger than the other three affected tokens. Additionally, COOL/USDC has a 24-hour trading volume of $464,370 on Uniswap V4 (Arc) and is currently trading at $0.005545 with a 24-hour trading volume of $1,534,217.
As reported by Binance, Spot Trading Bots connected to the affected markets will terminate simultaneously at 03:00 UTC on September 18. The exchange has advised customers using these bots to update or cancel them before trading stops to avoid potential losses. Binance noted that automated trading services configured around the closing pairs face termination, as alternative markets may have different prices, spreads, depth and quote assets that cannot support existing USDC bot configurations.
According to Binance's announcement, this action follows the exchange's repeated process of consolidating spot markets after removing 23 spot pairs in previous actions. The exchange cited weak liquidity and trading volume as the primary factors for the removals, with no token-specific reasons provided for any of the four delistings. Binance emphasized that removing a spot pair does not affect the availability of the tokens on Binance Spot, allowing customers to continue trading the base and quote assets through other supported markets after the removal deadline.
