
Waaree Renewable Technologies shares jumped 13.5% to their day's high on Friday after the company reported exceptional March quarter results. The company's consolidated net profit rose 66% to ₹155.72 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2025, compared to ₹93.76 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rocketed 131.31% to ₹1,102.40 crore year-on-year, up from ₹476.58 crore in Q4 FY25. EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹206.82 crore, up 63.71% year-on-year from ₹126.33 crore. However, margins declined notably, falling 776 basis points year-on-year, representing one-hundredth of one per cent.
For the full financial year, Waaree Renewable's performance was equally impressive with revenue from operations more than doubling to ₹3,331.42 crore, reflecting a 108.51% increase over ₹1,597.75 crore in FY25. The company's profit after tax climbed 109% to ₹478.65 crore, while EBITDA rose 106.21% to ₹641.10 crore from ₹310.90 crore. The company maintains a robust unexecuted order book of 2.83 GWp and is expected to be executed over the next 12 to 15 months. Meanwhile, its bidding pipeline has continued to build momentum, expanding to over 36 GWp. According to the company's statement, it highlighted the strong momentum in India's renewable energy sector, with total installed renewable capacity crossing 274 GW as of March 2026, of which solar contributed over 150 GW. During FY26, solar capacity additions increased significantly to over 44 GW, compared to around 24 GW in the previous year. Manmohan Sharma, CFO of Waaree Renewable Technologies, emphasized that "WRTL continues to have strong visibility of project execution supported by a robust unexecuted EPC order book of 2.83 GWp."
