Vikram Solar has secured a significant 124 MW module supply order for a utility-scale solar project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. According to reports from Business Standard, the order is placed by Capital Energy, marking a substantial addition to the company's project pipeline in the southern Indian state. The deal highlights growing demand for the company's 620-630 Wp modules and reinforces Vikram Solar's role in supporting India's large-scale solar build-out.
Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its high-efficiency G12R TOPCon modules, with rated capacities ranging from 620 Wp to 630 Wp. As reported by Business Standard, these advanced modules represent the company's premium product offerings for the commercial solar market, positioning the project as a high-performance installation in the region. The order comes on the back of Vikram Solar's recent expansion to 15.5 GW of manufacturing capacity, strengthening its ability to serve utility-scale projects with advanced technology.
Module supplies are scheduled to commence in October 2026, according to the contract terms reported by Business Standard. This timeline provides Vikram Solar with approximately 18 months to complete the manufacturing and delivery of the complete module supply for the Anantapur project. Management frames the win as a vote of confidence in the company's performance and innovation, enhancing its industry positioning as India pushes for greater energy self-reliance and domestic solar manufacturing.
