Vietnam-based Vingroup's EV charging arm V-Green has officially launched its co-branded charging network with ChargeZone across India, marking VinFast's first formal co-branded charging partnership with a Charge Point Operator (CPO) in the country. The partnership went live on 28 May 2026 with the inaugural station at Mangla Trade Hub in Vadodara, Gujarat, strategically located adjacent to a VinFast dealership to integrate charging access directly into the vehicle purchase and ownership experience. The Vadodara station is equipped with a 60 kW DC fast charger carrying dual-gun capability, allowing two vehicles to charge simultaneously, demonstrating the partnership's commitment to scalable infrastructure from day one.
The co-branded EV charging network has achieved significant milestone with the first 15 charging stations now operational across India as of the announcement date. This initial deployment demonstrates the partnership's immediate impact on India's EV charging infrastructure development and shows the network's rapid scaling capabilities. The operational stations are specifically designed to support VinFast's India expansion plans and provide reliable charging solutions for EV users nationwide, with the Vadodara station serving as a symbolic launch point for the broader rollout strategy.
According to the latest partnership terms, nearly 100 additional co-branded charging stations are planned for deployment over the next six months. This expansion phase will extend the network's reach to key locations across the country, significantly increasing the charging infrastructure availability for EV users. The timeline indicates an aggressive rollout strategy to support growing EV adoption in India and ensure comprehensive coverage for VinFast customers and the wider EV community, though no specific cities or corridors have been named for the upcoming deployments.
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO of ChargeZone, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, stating that "The co-branded charging network is designed to address one of the most important factors influencing EV adoption today: dependable and accessible charging infrastructure beyond the point of purchase. As EV adoption accelerates in India, partnerships like these will be critical in building charging networks that are dependable, accessible and integrated into the broader mobility ecosystem." Nguyen Nam Tien, CEO of V-Green, highlighted the network's role in accelerating EV adoption, noting that "By expanding reliable charging touch-points for VinFast customers and the wider EV community, we are enabling seamless mobility, accelerating EV adoption, and building confidence in sustainable transportation across the country."
Under the partnership agreement, ChargeZone will own and manage the end-to-end operation of all stations in the network, covering installation, maintenance, and customer-facing services, while V-Green focuses on site identification and deployment planning. This division of responsibility allows VinFast's charging footprint to scale without V-Green building independent operational capacity in India. ChargeZone, headquartered in Vadodara, operates more than 15,000 charging points across 1,200-plus locations in India and the UAE, describing itself as a vertically integrated operator handling hardware engineering, software platforms, and network management internally. The partnership structure reflects a broader trend among automakers entering the Indian market, where building charging networks from scratch requires significant capital, regulatory navigation, and local operational knowledge.
