According to reports from CNBC TV18, Ion Exchange (India) shares declined around 8%, while Sheela Foam shares slipped nearly 8% despite reporting operational strength. Automobile Corporation of Goa was the worst performer, falling as much as 15% due to challenging business conditions. The latest developments include Advantage Solutions (ADV) cratering 23.13% following its Q2 2026 results, marking one of the steepest single-day declines for the St. Louis-based business solutions provider.
Ion Exchange (India) reported a sharp contraction in profitability despite healthy revenue growth, with shares declining 8% following the results announcement. As reported by CNBC TV18, revenue rose 20% year-on-year to ₹700.5 crore, but EBITDA nearly halved to ₹31.7 crore, resulting in margins narrowing to 4.5% from 10.7% a year ago. Net profit plunged 93% to ₹3.1 crore, with higher raw material costs weighing on earnings. The company ended FY26 with an order book of ₹2,643.3 crore.
Sheela Foam shares slipped nearly 8% despite reporting another quarter of operational strength, according to CNBC TV18. The company benefited from the Kurl-On acquisition continuing to support growth, while its e-commerce business maintained strong momentum. Mattress volumes grew 6% with value growth of 15%, while the foam business reported 4% volume growth and 26% value growth. Sales through the company's website jumped 69% year-on-year, and marketplace sales rose 19%. The company's overseas businesses remained resilient with EBITDA margins of 12.8% in Australia and 14.7% in Spain.
Automobile Corporation of Goa was the worst performer among the three companies, falling as much as 15% following its results announcement. As reported by CNBC TV18, the company delivered 2,712 bus bodies during the June quarter, which was marginally lower than 2,784 units a year ago, citing weaker international business due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East. Domestic demand remained stable, and the company said it continues to focus on operational efficiency, cost optimisation and long-term sustainable growth despite near-term uncertainty surrounding commodity prices and export demand. Automobile Corporation of Goa also announced that shareholders had approved a final dividend of ₹22.50 per equity share for FY26, which will be paid on August 20.
Advantage Solutions (ADV) plunged 23.13% during regular trading on Wednesday, falling from a prior close of $41.72 to $32.08, as markets reacted to a disastrous Q2 2026 earnings miss. The company reported GAAP EPS of -$4.85, missing consensus estimates of -$0.27 by a staggering $4.58 per share, despite revenue of $889.5 million coming in modestly above the $871.3 million forecast. The most acute pain was concentrated in the Branded Services division, where revenue fell 20.1% year-over-year to $236 million and adjusted EBITDA collapsed 36% to $21.8 million. Management attributed the weakness to constrained CPG client spending, ongoing insourcing trends, and the lingering impact of select client losses, signaling that recovery would be 'more gradual than initially anticipated'.
