
Tata Communications has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Mundra as its new Chief Financial Officer. According to reports from ET Now, Mundra will join as CFO-Designate on February 23, 2026, before formally taking charge as CFO from May 1, 2026. The decision was approved by Tata Communications' Board at its meeting held on February 10, 2026, following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee.
Mundra brings more than 22 years of experience across corporate finance, business strategy, operations, private equity, and technology. As reported by ET Now, he currently serves as Vice President in the Group CFO and Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, a role he has held since December 2020. Before joining Tata Sons, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Shankara Building Products Limited, and has also held senior roles including Director at Fairwinds Private Equity and Associate Vice President at ICICI Venture. Interestingly, he began his career as a software engineer with Cisco Systems in Bengaluru.
On the education front, Mundra holds a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and earned his B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT Warangal, graduating with a Gold Medal. According to ET Now, he has worked with some of India's largest business groups and has also held leadership positions in listed companies throughout his career.
