Syrma SGS Technology has set ambitious revenue targets for its joint venture with Elemaster Group, projecting ₹200 crore revenue in the first full year of operations, FY 2027-28. According to NDTV Profit, Sandeep Tandon, Executive Chairman of Syrma SGS Technology, announced these projections following the inauguration of the new facility. The joint venture has made an initial investment of ₹55 crore to establish the electronics manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The facility is strategically located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area and represents a substantial investment in India's electronics manufacturing sector.
The 20,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing capabilities including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through-Hole Technology (THT), and box-build assembly lines. As reported by NDTV Profit, these technologies enable the facility to handle complex electronics manufacturing processes and meet stringent quality standards required by global customers. The facility provides an integrated platform to support complex electronics manufacturing requirements across railways, industrial and medical applications, with SMT, THT and box-build capabilities under one roof. According to Jasbir Singh Gujral, MD, Syrma SGS Technology, this integrated approach enables the facility to support complex electronics manufacturing requirements across multiple sectors.
The joint venture combines Syrma SGS's scaled manufacturing capabilities, established supply-chain ecosystem and cost-efficient execution in India with Elemaster's expertise in electronic design, manufacturing, engineering capabilities and strong relationships with European and global OEMs. According to NDTV Profit, Valentina Cogliati, CEO of Elemaster, stated that by combining Elemaster's engineering, technology and high-reliability manufacturing expertise with Syrma SGS's scale and strong presence in India, they can create an effective platform for serving both existing and new customers. The facility has been established to address the growing demand for high-reliability electronics across multiple sectors including railways and transportation, industrial electronics, energy and medical electronics. The joint venture will support global OEMs with high-quality manufacturing capabilities in India, particularly in sectors where quality, reliability and stringent manufacturing standards are critical requirements.
The facility inauguration has generated positive market response, with industry experts highlighting the strategic importance of the partnership. As reported by NDTV Profit, Tandon emphasized that through this joint venture, they are creating a platform that can serve both Indian and international customers while contributing to the broader 'Make in India' ambition. The joint venture expects to support customers across domestic and global markets, with the facility positioning India as a competitive platform for high-reliability electronics manufacturing. Tandon noted that as global supply chains evolve, India has a significant opportunity to move beyond scale and build capabilities in areas where reliability, quality and engineering depth are critical requirements.
