Diesel engine manufacturer Swaraj Engines Ltd delivered robust fourth-quarter results with net profit increasing 21.1% year-on-year to ₹55 crore compared with ₹45 crore in the same period last year. According to reports from Upstox, the company achieved its highest-ever quarterly engine sales volume of 55,004 units versus 45,594 units in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Revenue for the quarter rose 20.2% to ₹546 crore from ₹454 crore year ago, while EBITDA increased 23% year-on-year to ₹75 crore from ₹61 crore in the corresponding quarter. The company's EBITDA margin remained stable and advanced marginally to 13.83% YoY from 13.52%, demonstrating improved operational efficiency.
For the full financial year 2026, Swaraj Engines achieved exceptional performance with profit after tax standing at ₹196.31 crore, up 18.3% from ₹165.98 crore in the prior year, marking the highest annual PAT for the company. As reported by Upstox, annual engine sales volume rose 19.3% to 2,02,771 units compared with 1,68,820 units in the previous year, while net operating revenue increased 19.3% to ₹2,007.13 crore from ₹1,681.89 crore. The company reported its highest annual engine sales volume and profit in FY26, supported by growth across all four quarters and its sixth consecutive year of higher sales and earnings. The Mohali-based diesel engine maker sustained its growth momentum, marking the 16th consecutive quarter of year-over-year profit growth.
The board has recommended an equity dividend of ₹110 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, with the record date for the AGM and dividend payment set for Friday, July 3, 2026. According to Upstox, the dividend, if approved at the AGM, will be paid or dispatched after Monday, July 20, 2026, within the stipulated timelines. Shares of Swaraj Engines settled at ₹3,906.80 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, falling 0.75% on Monday following the results announcement. The earnings were announced after market hours, with the stock trading on the NSE during regular trading hours.
