Steel Exchange India has achieved its highest-ever monthly production of Re-Bars since inception, recording 24,823.509 Metric Tonnes (MT) during August 2026 at its Rolling Mill. According to reports from Business Standard, this milestone represents a significant operational milestone for the company's re-bar manufacturing capabilities. The achievement is particularly notable as it marks the most substantial production volume since the company's inception, demonstrating the success of recent capacity enhancement initiatives.
The total August production comprised 17,358.221 MT from the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) and 7,465.288 MT from the newly operationalised Reheating Furnace (RHF). As reported by Business Standard, this operational mix demonstrates the company's diversified production approach across different manufacturing technologies. The RHF's contribution of 7,465.288 MT represents a significant portion of the record output, highlighting its operational effectiveness since commissioning.
The addition of the Reheating Furnace (RHF) has increased the Company's monthly Re-Bar production capability by approximately 27%, marking a significant step-up in production capacity. According to Business Standard, this enhancement follows the successful commissioning and operationalisation of the Reheating Furnace, which has strengthened the Company's production capabilities and supported higher Rolling Mill utilisation. Management has confirmed that the RHF's successful operationalisation has increased monthly production capability by approximately 43%, contributing meaningfully to the record output achieved during August.
