SAMCO Securities announced the launch of its global investing platform on June 11, following receipt of a broker-dealer licence from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) at GIFT City. According to reports from PTI, this licensing enables Indian investors to access US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) through the new platform. SAMCO Group Founder and CEO Jimeet Modi confirmed during a webinar that the platform will provide research coverage on more than 700 global securities, including constituents of the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100 and over 100 ETFs.
The platform will provide research coverage on more than 700 global securities, including constituents of the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100 and over 100 ETFs, as reported by PTI. Investors can access these investments through fractional ownership starting from as little as $1, with complete digital onboarding available through the SAMCO Trading App under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Modi emphasized that the company aims to help investors build globally diversified portfolios by providing "both access and research-backed conviction." This launch comes amid increasing demand for portfolio diversification among Indian investors, driven by concerns around geopolitical uncertainty, rupee depreciation and concentration risks associated with investing solely in domestic markets.
According to PTI, the platform integrates quantitative research, investment recommendations, target prices, stop-loss frameworks and portfolio monitoring to enhance accessibility for retail investors. Modi stated during the webinar that the company aims to make global investing more accessible and research-driven for retail investors through this comprehensive technology integration. The platform also includes helpful tools for smart decision-making, including investment recommendations, target prices, stop-losses, and portfolio tracking capabilities.
SAMCO Securities CEO Ulhas Joshi stated that global investing is becoming an essential component of modern portfolio construction, as reported by PTI. The platform seeks to simplify access to international markets for Indian investors through its comprehensive research-driven approach to global investing. SAMCO Securities is a technology-first stockbroker headquartered in Mumbai and part of the SAMCO Group, which also includes SAMCO Asset Management. Joshi emphasized that global investing helps diversify portfolios and is becoming an important part of modern portfolio construction, so investors are not stuck with just local options.
