Rubicon Research announced the acquisition of a manufacturing facility in East Brunswick, NJ from InvaTech Pharma Solutions, LLC at an enterprise value of $2.9 million, according to the company's exchange filing. The transaction was completed on July 21, 2026, with Rubicon taking over the facility including manufacturing site, long-term lease, production equipment, operational records and regulatory permits. The facility manufactures oral solid and oral liquid formulations and has maintained a USFDA inspection history spanning more than a decade. The acquisition was completed through a court-supervised competitive bidding process under Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
As reported by Business Standard, the acquired facility will focus on Rubicon's specialty and high value products as well as demand from US government departments. The company expects to commence manufacturing at the site in calendar year 2027 after completing implementation of quality management systems. Management indicated strong revenue visibility during Q4FY26, with revenue traction likely to continue stronger than anticipated. The facility's proximity to AimRx's US distribution centre provides opportunities for efficient expansion and supports future growth in specialty pharmaceuticals and branded products.
According to the company's exchange filing, 24 products are currently under Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review, signaling a robust pipeline for growth. The commercialization rate remains strong at 92% of approved products, validating portfolio selection and execution capabilities. The company has qualified the Pithampur site and filed a product with USFDA, with production ramp-up expected in Q1 CY27. However, successful integration, execution of planned capital investments and regulatory compliance will be important before commercial production begins in 2027.
