Royal Enfield delivered robust sales growth in August 2026, selling 1,26,479 motorcycles compared to 1,14,002 units in the same month last year, according to exchange filings to the National Stock Exchange of India. The company achieved an 11% year-on-year growth driven by strong performance across both domestic and international markets. Domestic sales rose 11% to 1,14,204 units from 1,02,876 units a year ago, while exports increased 10% to 12,275 units from 11,126 units in August 2025. As per the company statement, this growth was primarily led by strong sub-350cc demand and the company's expanded product lineup. B Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield, commented that "August was another growth month for us, continuing our strong sales momentum and setting a robust foundation as we head into the festive season in India." He further stated that "Our key international markets also continued on a strong growth trajectory during the month."
On a year-to-date basis, Royal Enfield's total sales climbed 23% to 5,75,138 units compared with 4,67,575 units in the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales grew 28% to 5,20,695 units, while international sales declined 9% to 54,443 units from 59,666 units in the same period of 2025-26. The strong year-to-date performance provides a solid foundation as the company approaches the festive season in India, with domestic sales showing particularly strong momentum.
Models with engine capacity up to 350cc and EVs accounted for 1,13,143 units in August, up 15% from 98,631 units a year earlier, leading the growth momentum. However, sales of motorcycles with engine capacity above 350cc declined 13% to 13,336 units compared with 15,371 units in August 2025. For the April-August period, sales of models up to 350cc and EVs increased 28% to 5,12,817 units, while models above 350cc declined 5% to 62,321 units. The company's electric mobility programme under Flying Flea continued to progress, with the Flying Flea C6 crossing 50,000 customer-driven kilometres in Bengaluru alone, demonstrating strong adoption of electric motorcycles.
During August, Royal Enfield introduced the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India and Nepal, finished in Gorkha Green with an insignia featuring crossed khukris and inspired by the Gorkha regiment, alongside a Gorkha apparel collection. The company also launched an updated Continental GT 650 with feature and design enhancements, adding a black-painted instrument cowl, new LED trafficators, a USB Type-C fast-charging port, and a blacked-out engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels on the Rocker Red variant. Royal Enfield's international presence expanded with launches including the Goan Classic 350, Guerrilla 450 Apex and Himalayan Mana Black, while the company showed the Flying Flea C6 at the Festival Interlagos in Brazil and introduced the FT450 flat-tracker and first Slide School Cup in Thailand. The company also announced its first marquee ride in Mongolia, Moto Mongolia 2026, scheduled for 5-18 September.

Total Eicher trucks and buses (inclusive of EVs) stood at 8,162 units, up 17.9% from 6,924 units in August 2025. Domestic VECV sales were the primary growth driver, rising 19.8% to 7,584 units from 6,331 units a year ago, led by a sharp 29% surge in Small Commercial Vehicle/Light Medium Duty (SCV/LMD) trucks which climbed to 4,623 units from 3,585 units. Heavy Duty trucks also grew 13% to 1,960 units, while HD bus sales contracted 29.3% to 82 units. Export volumes for VECV declined slightly by 2.5% to 578 units, down from 593 units in August 2025, with SCV/LMD exports growing 9% while HD exports fell 39.7%.
