As reported by Coal India Limited, this prestigious project from the central PSU marks a significant milestone in KPI Green Energy's growth journey and stands as a testament to the group's unwavering commitment to sustainable energy solutions. This achievement represents the biggest single order achieved so far by the entire group from Central PSU.
Rhetan TMT's 1 MW (AC) captive ground-mounted solar power project has commenced successfully, marking the successful completion of the company's renewable energy initiative. According to the company's regulatory filing, the project is now operational and generating electricity for captive consumption at its manufacturing facility in Kadi, Gujarat. The successful operationalization reflects the company's transition from the implementation and commissioning stage to actual operations, following completion of requisite statutory approvals, infrastructure development, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The project supports captive consumption, reducing reliance on grid power in an energy-intensive industry where power can account for nearly 20% of the input cost base.
The company expects the solar power project to support the energy requirements of its manufacturing facility and contribute to the integration of renewable energy into its manufacturing operations. As reported by LiveMint, the successful operationalization further reflects the company's continued focus on strengthening its manufacturing infrastructure and adopting sustainable energy solutions as part of its long-term business strategy. The company has outlined several initiatives including greater focus on reducing costs, improving operational efficiency, and pursuing strategic expansion. The strategic relevance is particularly significant as energy historically represents a meaningful portion of costs (~20%) in the company's operations.
