Fabletics has officially launched in India through an exclusive long-term partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), marking the global activewear brand's entry into the Indian market. According to the latest reports from ANI, this partnership follows RBL's recent agreement to bring Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS to India, representing the company's continued expansion into the activewear segment through international brand partnerships. The collaboration brings together Fabletics' distinctive approach to fashion-forward activewear with RBL's expertise in building global brands for the Indian market. Under the partnership, RBL will build and operate Fabletics in India through an omnichannel model spanning standalone stores, e-commerce and experiential retail spaces, combining Fabletics' global product and creative identity with RBL's experience in taking international brands to Indian consumers.
The brand will debut simultaneously online through its dedicated India website and offline with its first mono-brand store at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, followed by a second store in Mumbai. As reported by ANI, the New Delhi store will establish Fabletics' first physical presence in India alongside the launch of its dedicated India website. A Mumbai store will follow shortly thereafter, establishing the foundation for the brand's longer-term expansion across the country. The India assortment will span women's and men's activewear across training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday movement categories, bringing together Fabletics' proprietary performance fabrics with its fashion-led approach to colour, silhouette and design. The brand has also used collaborations with personalities including Khloé Kardashian and Kevin Hart to blur the lines between fitness, fashion and popular culture, with products designed to transition from workouts to daily wear.
Sumeet Yadav, Head of Reliance Brands Limited, emphasized India's transformation driven by young consumers embracing movement, mindfulness, and athleisure as essential elements of their everyday lives. According to ANI, he highlighted that Fabletics' distinctive approach to making fashion-forward design accessible for everyday wear aligns with the evolving Indian market. The partnership will leverage RBL's experience in building international brands for the Indian market through a robust omnichannel model including standalone retail stores, e-commerce, and experiential brand environments. Fabletics arrives in India as the relationship between fitness, fashion and everyday dressing continues to evolve, with activewear increasingly moving beyond the gym as consumers expect technical performance without compromising on style. For RBL, the partnership adds another international name to its growing fashion and lifestyle portfolio, which includes more than 1,855 stores and shop-in-shops across the country, featuring international brands such as SKIMS, Armani Exchange, Burberry, Coach, Diesel, Michael Kors and Valentino.
Meera Bhatia, President of Fabletics, stated that India represents an important next step in the brand's international growth strategy. As reported by ANI, she noted that Fabletics' core proposition of offering consumers the choice between performance, style and value without having to choose between them resonates strongly with India's evolving active consumer base. The company believes RBL's combination of deep market understanding and ability to build global brands for India makes it the right partner for Fabletics' long-term ambitions in the Indian market. Founded in Los Angeles in 2013, Fabletics has grown from a digitally native disruptor into a global omnichannel business with more than 125 retail locations worldwide, known for its proprietary high-quality fabrics, bold colour and fashion-led silhouettes. The first India store will open at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi alongside the launch of the dedicated website, with a second store in Mumbai following shortly thereafter, forming the starting point for Fabletics' planned expansion across the country.
