Over the past three and six months, the stock has surged 101.35% and 235.69% respectively, while on a year-to-date basis, Raymond shares have gained 179.61%. The stock had already delivered close to 70% return in the past year and 148.48% return year-to-date before this latest surge.
The latest rally in Raymond shares came as part of a broader re-rating in aerospace and defence-linked stocks. According to Goodreturns, defence stocks witnessed a sharp upmove in Tuesday's trading session, with several private-sector companies emerging as key drivers. The Nifty Defence index was at 9,471.55, up 54.65 points or 0.58%, while the sharpest moves were seen in several private-sector names including Raymond. The move in Raymond came against the backdrop of this wider re-rating in aerospace and defence-linked stocks, highlighting how investor interest has accelerated in defence-exposed companies.
Raymond Limited's subsidiary, JK Maini Global Aerospace Limited, has secured a contract to assemble wing and centre-fuselage structures for an indigenous fighter aircraft programme. According to the company's exchange filing, the order was awarded by a leading Indian aerospace and defence original equipment manufacturer (OEM), though Raymond has not disclosed the identity of the customer, the specific fighter aircraft programme, or the financial value of the contract. This development marks Raymond's strategic expansion into aircraft structures segment, moving beyond its traditional focus on precision manufacturing and aerospace components. The project is expected to leverage the customer's existing manufacturing infrastructure, allowing Raymond to develop capabilities and gain execution experience without requiring significant upfront investments in new facilities.
Raymond now has a robust 10-year order book of ₹5,960-plus crore and an active RFQ (Request for Quotation) pipeline of ₹1,632 crore. The company's engineering business has expanded into aerospace and defence, as well as electric vehicle components, serving both domestic and international markets. Raymond's engineering business commands a leadership position in manufacturing files and hand tools and has a significant presence in national and international markets. The company reported exceptional sequential growth in Q1 FY27, with net profit surging 1,758% to ₹21 crore from ₹1.13 crore in Q4 FY6. Revenue increased 0.4% quarter-on-quarter to ₹606 crore from ₹603 crore, while EBITDA rose 2.4% to ₹77.3 crore from ₹75.5 crore. EBITDA margin improved to 12.8% in Q1 FY27 from 12.5% in the previous quarter.
According to SBI Securities analyst Sudeep Shah, Raymond had consolidated in the 571–659 range for nearly two months before breaking out around four weeks ago. Since the breakout, the stock has gained around 60%, with strong follow-through over the past three weeks, supported by robust trading volumes. The rising Average Directional Index (ADX) points to strengthening trend intensity, while expanding green bars on the MACD histogram and the upward-sloping MACD line further reinforce the bullish setup. On the weekly chart, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is trending higher, indicating strong bullish momentum. However, Shah cautioned that the stock's price, RSI, and ADX appear stretched at current levels, suggesting that some profit-booking could emerge in the near term. He placed immediate support for Raymond in the ₹1,080–1,070 zone, noting that the broader bullish bias is likely to remain intact as long as the stock sustains above this support area.
