Rallis India delivered robust June-quarter results with net profit surging 31.6% year-on-year to ₹125 crore, compared with ₹95 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. According to the latest financial results, the company's revenue grew 6.8% to ₹1,035 crore, up from ₹969 crore in the year-ago quarter. The EBITDA margin expanded significantly to 18.1% from 15.7% a year earlier, reflecting disciplined pricing, operational efficiencies and favorable business mix. As per latest market reports, the earnings announcement is expected to provide insights into performance across the agri-input business and demand conditions during the quarter.
The company's Crop Care business generated revenue of ₹697 crore, up 7% year-on-year, with growth driven by a 19% increase in the B2C business. However, this was partly offset by a 19% decline in the B2B segment. During the quarter, Rallis strengthened its crop protection portfolio with the launch of three new products — Balwan and Prodim Ultra herbicides, and Kengen insecticide. The company also introduced nine new products across cotton, paddy, and millet crops, including two new cotton hybrids for North India and a herbicide-tolerant direct-seeded rice product under the Dhaanya brand. Targeted field programmes, strategic product placements and focused inventory liquidation initiatives also supported performance.
The Soil & Plant Health (SPH) segment reported 10% year-on-year growth, aided by prudent pricing, portfolio management and continued demand for biostimulants, biofertilisers and organic products. According to the company's earnings announcement, the company also commercially launched Aquafert Ginger and Turmeric, further expanding its speciality nutrition portfolio. The Seeds business recorded 6% revenue growth to ₹325 crore, supported by pre-season demand and strategic product placements. These specialty segments continue to attract investor attention as companies report quarterly results and investors assess demand trends across different agricultural categories.
Ahead of the earnings announcement, shares of Rallis India ended 3.91% lower at ₹230.80 on the BSE, reflecting mixed market sentiment despite strong financial performance. Managing Director & CEO Dr Gyanendra Shukla commented that the company delivered a resilient quarter through focused execution, stronger profitability and continued investments in portfolio expansion. He added that Rallis remains committed to delivering differentiated solutions for Indian agriculture through innovation, customer-centricity and operational excellence, while continuing to strengthen its product pipeline across businesses. The company's focus on the consumer segment continues to attract attention as investors track demand trends across different categories and assess the broader rural consumption environment.
