According to reports from Goodreturns, the railway sector showed strong momentum with stocks gaining up to 4% during the trading session. Indian Railway Fin Corp L also participated in the rally, trading at ₹95.15 with a market cap of ₹1,25,000.30 crore.
RVNL emerged as the top performer, trading at ₹234.66 on the NSE, up 2.82% or ₹6.43. The stock opened at ₹232.00, touched an intraday high of ₹236.40 and a low of ₹231.25. As reported by Goodreturns, the stock gained after the company announced a fresh order worth ₹221.33 crore from South East Central Railway. The project involves signalling and telecom upgrades along with electrification works across stations in the Bilaspur Division, with a completion timeline of 730 days.
RailTel Corporation of India also traded in the green during morning trade, with the stock at ₹309.55, up 1.96% or ₹5.95. According to Goodreturns, the company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth ₹82.04 crore from Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC) for signalling and telecom works. The project includes design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) for the Dhulawat-Manesar New Patli section, covering stations such as Chandla, Dungerwas and Pachgaon Halt, with completion scheduled by 27 November 2027.
Ircon International Ltd also saw mild gains in early trade, with the stock trading at ₹135.78, up 1.67% or ₹2.23. As reported by Goodreturns, the stock opened at ₹134.18 and touched a high of ₹136.71 during the session. The company's gains were attributed to ongoing railway infrastructure projects and positive market sentiment in the sector.
According to Goodreturns, overall, RVNL remains a closely watched railway stock, with brokerages like Bajaj Broking maintaining a 'positive' constructive outlook on its medium to long-term growth prospects.
