Quadrant Future Tek Limited announced on Thursday, January 29 that it has secured a ₹230.42 crore contract from Integral Coach Factory, Chennai (ICF) for the supply, retrofitment, testing and commissioning of 192 Onboard KAVACH Equipment Ver-4.0. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the contract also includes warranty and long-term annual maintenance of the equipment. The order is awarded by a domestic entity and is to be executed over 12 months. The company has also secured a ₹287.82 crore contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for supplying 353 units of KAVACH Loco Equipment Ver-4.0, with both contracts representing significant additions to its railway safety equipment portfolio.
Quadrant Future Tek is a research-driven company focused on developing next-generation train control and signalling systems under the Indian Railways’ KAVACH project, aimed at enhancing safety and reliability for rail passengers. The company also operates a specialised cable manufacturing facility with an in-house Electron Beam Irradiation Centre. Its speciality cables are used across railway rolling stock and the naval defence segment, while the facility is also equipped with end-to-end infrastructure to manufacture solar and electric vehicle cables. The company has established itself in the technology and equipment supply sector, with this KAVACH contract marking a significant milestone in its railway safety equipment portfolio.
Following the order win announcement, shares of Quadrant Future Tek Limited surged 5% to reach intraday highs of ₹318.6. The stock has since pared the gains and is trading at ₹312.45, still 3.08% above the opening price. However, the company has declined 32.16% in the past six months. The company made its Dalal Street debut just a year ago, listing at ₹374 on BSE, a premium of 29% over its issue price of ₹290 and with a premium of 27.59% over the issue price at ₹370 on NSE.

The promoters, promoter group, and group companies have no interest in Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, ensuring complete independence in the business relationship.
