PTC Industries shares rallied 5% to hit a record high of ₹24,262.65 on Wednesday's intra-day trading following the opening of its qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue. The stock surpassed its previous high of ₹24,143 touched on September 4, 2026, and has zoomed 67% from its 52-week low of ₹14,500 hit on April 2, 2026. At 09:27 AM, PTC Industries quoted 4% higher at ₹23,950, significantly outperforming the 0.60% decline in the BSE Sensex. A combined around 25,000 shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE during the session.
The company has launched a qualified institutional placement (QIP) to raise up to ₹1,800 crore, with the issue opening at a floor price of ₹22,150 per share. PTC Industries has the option to offer a discount of up to 5% to the floor price, with the final issue price to be determined in consultation with the book-running lead managers. The fundraise will involve equity dilution of around 5.7% of the company's pre-issue paid-up equity capital, representing an 8.9% discount to the stock's last closing price.
According to reports from CNBC TV18, PTC Industries had reported its June quarter result on August 14. The company reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) attributable to owners of ₹29.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, more than five times the ₹5.16 crore reported in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 97.4% year-on-year to ₹191.80 crore from ₹97.15 crore.
The company plans to use the proceeds primarily for debt repayment, which is expected to help strengthen its balance sheet and reduce finance costs. A portion of the funds will also be invested in its subsidiary, Aerolloy Technologies, to support its working capital requirements and purchase of machinery. The QIP follows the company's earlier approval to raise up to ₹1,800 crore, with proceeds broadly planned towards organic and inorganic growth, expansion and development of manufacturing facilities including Aerolloy Technologies, strategic initiatives/acquisitions, repayment or pre-payment of borrowings and general corporate purposes, with the latter capped at 25% of the funds raised.
PTC Industries has secured several landmark orders that strengthen its position in advanced defence and aerospace programmes. The company received a landmark order from BrahMos Aerospace for the development, integration and supply of a strategic missile sub-system, marking its entry into systems and sub-systems integration. Additionally, Aerolloy Technologies signed a landmark agreement with Airbus for the development, qualification, industrialisation and future supply of titanium castings for the A320neo, A330neo and A350 aircraft programmes. The company also received a design and development order from ARDE, DRDO for a Titanium Cradle for the 105mm Indian Light Weight Tank, and a development order from Gun Factory Kanpur for two major artillery gun components.
