According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, Magellanic Cloud's wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has secured a significant contract from South Central Railway's Vijayawada Division. The contract has now been formally accepted with a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) issued by South Central Railway, as announced by Magellanic Cloud. The contract is valued at ₹6,92,87,410.55 and represents a substantial order for the surveillance technology company. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, the contract is scheduled for completion within 12 months, further expanding Magellanic Cloud's footprint in the railway and critical public infrastructure sectors. The latest developments show the contract now includes deployment of advanced surveillance systems at KVR, GVN, and Rajahmundry (RJY) railway stations for Godavari Pushkaram-2027, along with replacement and augmentation of Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) at multiple railway stations.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the contract involves the supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of advanced IP based CCTV surveillance systems across 15 railway stations across the Vijayawada Division. The project encompasses some of the major railway junctions including Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Kakinada and Gudur. The scope also includes NVRs, optical fibre cable, networking infrastructure, cabling, earthing and surge protection systems, expanding beyond basic surveillance systems. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, the surveillance systems will be installed in key stations including Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Kakinada, and Gudur, as part of Indian Railways' efforts to modernise its security measures. The latest project also includes installation of video recording systems in Relay Rooms and Station Master Rooms across the Vijayawada Division, demonstrating the comprehensive nature of the surveillance infrastructure upgrade.

According to The Hindu BusinessLine, Magellanic Cloud shares were trading at ₹29.33 on the NSE at 11:35 IST on July 13, down marginally by 0.07 per cent from the previous close of ₹29.35, with sell-side pressure dominant — approximately 80 per cent of total order quantity on the sell side. The stock has shed over 62 per cent in the past year from its 52-week high of ₹105.42 touched in July 2025, though it has gained 32 per cent over the past month. Total market capitalisation stands at approximately ₹1,728 crore. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, the contract does not fall under related party transactions, and no members of the promoter group have any interest in the entity awarding the contract.
