According to reports from Business Standard, Magellanic Cloud's wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance, has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL), Ahmedabad, for a contract valued at ₹8.90 crore. The latest contract comes within a week of Provigil receiving another order from DFCCIL, underscoring the growing confidence placed by the PSU major in Provigil's capabilities. This order further strengthens the Company's growing order book and adds another significant critical infrastructure project to its portfolio.
As reported by Business Standard, the project will be executed over a period of five years on an OPEX model and is designed to establish an integrated e-surveillance framework for enhanced protection of critical railway infrastructure. Under the contract, Provigil will undertake the Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Operations & Maintenance (SITC and O&M) of an IP-based CCTV Surveillance System across DFCCIL locations between New Palanpur and New Gothangam, under the CGM/ADI Unit, Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). The scope includes remote video monitoring, asset protection, perimeter security, Command and Control Centre infrastructure and associated surveillance systems.
According to the report, this contract represents a significant win for Provigil Surveillance in the railway infrastructure surveillance sector. The project's focus on establishing an integrated e-surveillance framework demonstrates the growing importance of technology-driven security solutions for critical railway infrastructure protection and operational efficiency.
